His saying: "Then there is no blame upon you"
2302 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah b. Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "Then there is no blame upon you"—meaning: There is no reproach upon a person to hire a wet-nurse for his child and pay her her wage, and [he is not required to provide] clothing for her, nor maintenance, for that is permissible for him. It was narrated from al-Hasan and Muqatil b. Hayyan something similar.
2303 - I read to Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah b. al-Hakam, Ibn Wahb reported to us, Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab: "And there is no blame upon them to have [the child] breastfed" if that is done with the willingness of the father and the mother.
2304 - Usayd b. 'Asim narrated to us, Husayn b. Hafs narrated to us, he said: Sufyan said: "And if you desire to have your children breastfed, then there is no blame upon you"—if the mother refuses to breastfeed him, there is no blame to have [others] breastfeed him instead of her.
His saying: "If you deliver"
2305 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "If you deliver what you have pledged with kindness"—meaning the calculated payment for what the child has been breastfed.
2306 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr: "Then there is no blame upon you if you deliver [in submission] to the command of Allah"—meaning regarding the wage of the wet-nurse. It was narrated from 'Ata', al-Zuhri, al-Suddi, and Muqatil b. Hayyan something similar.
His saying: "What you have pledged"
2307 - And by the same chain, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "What you have pledged with kindness"—he says: What you give the wet-nurse as an addition to her wage.
2308 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, from Sufyan, he said: I heard al-Suddi saying: "If you deliver what you have pledged with kindness"—[meaning] that you give the wet-nurse her wage. It was narrated from 'Ata' something similar.

قوله: فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ
٢٣٠٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا نحيى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ يَعْنِي: لَا حَرَجَ عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ أَنْ يَسْتَرْضِعَ لِوَلَدِهِ ظِئْرًا وَيُسَلِّمَ لَهَا أَجْرَهَا، وَلا كِسْوَةَ لَهَا وَلا رِزْقَ، فَذَلِكَ لَهُ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ
٢٣٠٣ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، أبنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ: وَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا أَنْ يَسْتَرْضِعَا إِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ عَنْ طِيبِ نَفْسٍ مِنَ الْوَالِدِ وَالْوَالِدَةِ
٢٣٠٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ قَالَ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَإِنْ أَرَدْتُمْ أَنْ تَسْتَرْضِعُوا أَوْلادَكُمْ، فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا أَبَتِ الأُمُّ أَنْ تُرْضِعَهُ فَلا جُنَاحَ أَنْ يَسْتَرْضِعْنَ لَهُ غَيْرَهَا.
قَوْلُهُ: إِذَا سَلَّمْتُمْ
٢٣٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١»
قَوْلُهُ: إِذَا سَلَّمْتُمْ مَا آتَيْتُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حِسَابَ مَا أُرْضِعَ بِهِ الصَّبِيُّ.

قَوْلُهُ: مَا آتَيْتُمْ
٢٣٠٧ - وَبِهِ عَنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: مَا آتَيْتُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ يَقُولُ: مَا أَعْطَيتُمُ الظِّئْرَ مِنْ فَضْلٍ عَلَى أَجْرِهَا.
٢٣٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا نحيى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ السُّدِّيَّ يَقُولُ: إِذَا سَلَّمْتُمْ مَا آتَيْتُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ أَنْ تُعْطِيَ الْمُرْضِعَ أَجْرَهَا. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، نحو ذلك.
