His saying, the Exalted: "And hastily"
4813 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And hastily," meaning: he consumes the orphan's wealth in a rush, just as he is about to reach [maturity], so he comes between him and his wealth. - Abu Muhammad said: It was narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr and al-Suddi similar to that.
His saying, the Exalted: "That they grow up"
4814 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "That they grow up," he said: For fear that he would reach the age of puberty and then take his wealth.
His saying, the Exalted: "And whoever is"
4815 - al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from 'Aisha: "Whoever is rich," she said: It was revealed concerning the guardian of the orphan.
4816 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "And whoever is rich," meaning: the trustee.
Abu Muhammad said: It was narrated from al-Suddi and al-Hakam similar to the statement of Sa'id ibn Jubayr.
His saying, the Exalted: "Rich"
[The first interpretation]
4817 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And whoever is rich, let him abstain," meaning: he does not need the orphan's wealth.

4818 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la informed us by way of reading, Ibn Wahb reported to us, Nafi' ibn Abi Nu'aym—meaning: the reciter—narrated to me, he said: I asked Yahya ibn Sa'id and Rabi'ah about the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "And whoever is rich, let him abstain," they said: That is concerning the orphan; if he (the guardian) is rich, he spends on him according to his wealth, and the guardian is entitled to nothing from it.

٤٨١٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَبِدَاراً يَعْنِي، يَأْكُلُ مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ بِبَادِرَةٍ، فَعِنْدَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ فَيَحُولُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ مَالِهِ. - قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، وَالسُّدِّيِّ نَحْوُ ذلك.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنْ يَكْبَرُوا
٤٨١٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: أَنْ يَكْبَرُوا قَالَ: خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ الْحُلُمَ فَيَأْخُذُ مَالَهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ كَانَ
٤٨١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الأَشَجُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: مَنْ كَانَ غَنِيّاً قَالَتْ: نَزَلَتْ فِي وَالِي الْيَتِيمِ.
٤٨١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيّاً يَعْنِي: الْوَصِيَّ.
قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: وَرُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَالْحَكَمِ مِثْلُ قَوْلِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: غنيا

٤٨١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيّاً فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ:
فَلا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى مَالِ الْيَتِيمِ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٤٨١٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى قِرَاءَةً، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعُ ابن أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ يَعْنِي: الْقَارِئَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ وَرَبِيعَةَ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيّاً فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ قَالا: ذَلِكَ فِي الْيَتِيمِ إِنْ كَانَ غَنِيّاً أَنْفَقَ عَلَيْهِ بِقَدْرِ غِنَاهُ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لِلْوَلِيِّ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ.
