The ninth interpretation:

That the poor orphan may eat from his own wealth with kindness.

4835 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la informed us by way of reading, Ibn Wahb reported to us, Nafi' ibn Abi Nu'aym al-Qari' narrated to me, he said: I asked Yahya ibn Sa'id and Rabi'ah about the saying of God: "Let him eat with kindness." They both said: That applies to the orphan; if he is poor, he (the guardian) spends on him according to the extent of his poverty, and the guardian is entitled to nothing from it.

The tenth interpretation:

That the interpretation of the verse concerns the Bedouin people.

4836 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah al-Uwaysi narrated to us, Ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us regarding this verse: "And whoever is poor, let him eat with kindness," he said: Abu al-Zinad used to say: This only concerned the people of the desert (Bedouin) and those like them.

His saying, the Almighty: "And when you hand over"

4837 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "And when you hand over to them," he says to the guardians: "And when you hand over."

His saying, the Almighty: "their properties to them"

4838 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed me in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, my father narrated to me, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And when you hand over to them their properties, then bear witness for them," he says: When he hands over his property to the orphan, he should hand it over to him with witnesses, just as God has commanded him.

4839 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of the Almighty God: "And when you hand over to them their properties," he says to the guardians: When you hand over to the orphans their properties, and that is when they attain puberty.

His saying, the Almighty: "then bear witness for them"

4840 - And by it (the same chain), from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, His saying: "then bear witness for them": By handing over their properties to them.

His saying, the Almighty: "And sufficient is Allah as Accountant"

4841 - And by it (the same chain), from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, His saying: "And sufficient is Allah as Accountant," meaning: As a Witness, meaning: There is no witness better than God regarding what is between you and them.
