His saying, the Almighty: "the Torah and the Gospel"
[6620] And with it, he (the narrator) said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying, regarding His saying: "the Torah and the Gospel," he said: The Torah was revealed to the Jews, and the Gospel to the Christians and to ‘Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary).
His saying, the Almighty: "and what has been revealed to you from your Lord"
[6621] ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad narrated to us, Mihran narrated to us, from Abu Sinan, from Layth, from Mujahid, regarding "until you uphold the Torah and the Gospel and what has been revealed to you from your Lord," he said: What was revealed to Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
[6622] Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi reported to me in what he wrote to me, Asbagh narrated to us, he said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying, regarding His saying: "and what has been revealed to you from your Lord," he said: The Quran.
His saying, the Almighty: "And surely, it will increase many of them in what has been revealed..." the verse.

His saying, the Almighty: "So do not grieve over the disbelieving people"
[6623] Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "do not grieve" [meaning:] do not be sad. It was also narrated from al-Suddi similar to this.
His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, those who believed and those who are Jews and the Sabaeans"
[The First Aspect]
[6624] Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj ibn Arta’ah, from al-Qasim, from Mujahid, he said: The Sabaeans are between the Christians and the Magians (Zoroastrians); they have no religion.
[The Second Aspect]
[6625] Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Nu‘aym narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Salim, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, he said: The Sabaeans are a status between the Jews and the Christians.
(1). Thus it is in the original, and perhaps the author, may Allah have mercy on him, did not find a hadith or a report regarding the interpretation of the verse, and Allah knows best.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ
٦٦٢٠ - وَبِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ: فِي قَوْلِهِ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ قَالَ: التَّوْرَاةُ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالإِنْجِيلُ عَلَى النَّصَارَى وَعَلَى عِيسَى بن مَرْيَمَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ
٦٦٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدٌ، ثنا مِهْرَانُ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ حَتَّى تُقِيمُوا التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ قَالَ: مَا أَنْزَلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
٦٦٢٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا أَصْبَغُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ قَالَ: الْقُرْآنُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنْهُمْ مَا أُنْزِلَ الآية

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَلا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
٦٦٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَلا تَأْسَ فَلا تَحْزَنْ- وَرُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا والصابئون

٦٦٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: الصَّابِئُونَ بَيْنَ النَّصَارَى وَالْمَجُوسِ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ دِينٌ.
الْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٦٦٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ: الصابئون منزلة بين اليهود والنصارى.
