Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from ‘Abd Allah, that he used to recite, "Everything in the Qur'an [shall be] consecutive."
[6734] Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki‘ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ya‘la ibn ‘Ata’, from someone who heard Abu Hurayrah say: "The fast is only for those who cannot find [the means]."
[6735] Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "...then a fast of three days," meaning: "Then he should fast three days—in the recitation of Ibn Mas‘ud: 'consecutive.'" It was narrated from Ubayy ibn Ka‘b and al-Nakha‘i something similar to that.
[The Second Aspect]
[6736] My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn al-Tabba‘ narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, from Hajjaj, who said: I asked ‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah about separating the fulfillment of the three days in the expiation of an oath, and he saw no harm in it.
His saying, the Almighty: "That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn [them]."
[6737] Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ narrated to me, from Sa‘id, regarding His saying: "That," meaning: "That which has been mentioned of the expiation."
And by this same chain from Sa‘id, regarding His saying: "That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn [them]," meaning: "The intentional oath when you have sworn [it]."
His saying, the Almighty: "And protect your oaths."
[6738] And by this same chain from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "And protect your oaths," meaning: "Do not intentionally swear false oaths."
His saying, the Almighty: "Thus."
[6739] And by this same chain from Sa‘id, regarding His saying: "Thus," meaning: "In this way does Allah make clear to you."
His saying, the Almighty: "...Allah makes clear to you..." the verse.
[6740] And by this same chain from Sa‘id, regarding His saying: "Allah makes clear to you His verses so that you may show gratitude," meaning: "That which is mentioned of the expiation, so that you may show gratitude."
And by this same chain from Sa‘id, regarding His saying: "so that you may," meaning: "in order to."

أبي إسحاق «١» عن أبي الأخوص عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ مُتَتَابِعَاتٍ.
٦٧٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّمَا الصَّوْمُ عَلَى مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ.
٦٧٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلُهُ: فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ يَعْنِي فَلْيَصُمْ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ فِي قِرَاءَةِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ مُتَتَابِعَاتٍ- وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ وَالنَّخَعِيِّ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٦٧٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ تَفْرِيقِ قَضَاءِ الثَّلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي كَفَّارَةِ الْيَمِينِ فَلَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ذَلِكَ كَفَّارَةُ أَيْمَانِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ
٦٧٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ قَوْلَهُ: ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي الذين ذُكِرَ مِنَ الْكَفَّارَةِ
وَبِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ قَوْلَهُ: ذَلِكَ كَفَّارَةُ أَيْمَانِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ يَعْنِي الْيَمِينَ الْعَمْدَ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاحْفَظُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ
٦٧٣٨ - وَبِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَاحْفَظُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ يَعْنِي لَا تَتَعَمَّدُوا الأَيْمَانَ الْكَاذِبَةَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: كَذَلِكَ
٦٧٣٩ - وَبِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ قَوْلَهُ: كَذَلِكَ يَعْنِي هَكَذَا يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يبين الله لكم..... الْآيَةَ
٦٧٤٠ - وَبِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ قَوْلَهُ: يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ يَعْنِي مَا ذُكِرَ مِنَ الْكَفَّارَةِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

وَبِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ قَوْلَهُ: لعلكم يعني: لكي.
