His saying, the Exalted: "so that he may taste the consequence of his affair"
[6816] Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "so that he may taste the consequence of his affair," he said: As for the consequence of his affair, it is the punishment for his affair.
His saying, the Exalted: "Allah has pardoned what is past"
[6817] al-‘Abbas ibn Yazid al-‘Abdi narrated to us, Abu Bahr al-Tukrawi, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Uthman, narrated to us, al-Juraydi narrated to me, from al-‘Ala’, Nu‘aym ibn Qa‘nab narrated to me, from Abu Dharr, [regarding] "Allah has pardoned what is past," he said: Concerning what occurred in the pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah). Ibn ‘Ata’ narrated the like of that.
His saying, the Exalted: "but whoever returns"

[6818] al-‘Abbas ibn Yazid al-Bahrani narrated to us, Abu Bahr al-Bakrawi narrated to us, al-Juraydi narrated to me, from Abu al-‘Ala’, Nu‘aym ibn Qa‘nab narrated to me, from Abu Dharr, regarding His saying: "but whoever returns, then Allah will take retribution from him," he said: In Islam.
[6819] Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding the one who kills game while he is in the state of ihram, he said: He is judged [only] one time, and if he returns, he is not judged, then he recited: "but whoever returns, then Allah will take retribution from him."
[6820] Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "but whoever returns," he said: If he returns deliberately.
And the second viewpoint:
[6821] Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, he said: al-Hasan said: He is judged every time he kills [game], meaning His saying: "but whoever returns, then Allah will take retribution from him." It was narrated from ‘Ata’ and Sa‘id ibn Jubayr the like of that.
His saying, the Exalted: "then Allah will take retribution from him"
[6822] My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "but whoever returns, then Allah will take retribution from him," he said: If he returns deliberately, the punishment is hastened for him, unless Allah pardons him.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لِيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِ
٦٨١٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلَهُ: لِيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِ قَالَ: أَمَّا وَبَالُ أَمْرِهِ:
فَعُقُوبَةُ أَمْرِهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: عَفَا اللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ
٦٨١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَبْدِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بحر التكراوي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْجُرَيْدِيُّ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ، حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ قَعْنَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ قال: عَمَّا كان في الجاهلية وروى بن عَطَاءٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ.

٦٨١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَحْرَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَحْرٍ الْبَكْرَاوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي الْجُرَيْدِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلاءِ حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ قَعْنَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَوْلَهُ: وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنْتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ: فِي الإِسْلامِ.
٦٨١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا هِشَامٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الَّذِي يُصِيبُ الصَّيْدَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ قَالَ: يُحْكَمُ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِنْ عَادَ لَمْ يُحْكَمْ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ تَلا وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنْتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ
٦٨٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قوله: وَمَنْ عَادَ قَالَ: فَإِنْ عَادَ مُتَعَمِّدًا.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٦٨٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا هِشَامٌ قَالَ: قَالَ الْحَسَنُ:
يُحْكَمُ عَلَيْهِ كُلَّمَا أَصَابَ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنْتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَيَنْتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ
٦٨٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنْتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ: عَادَ مُتَعَمِّدًا عُجِّلَتْ لَهُ الْعُقُوبَةُ إِلَّا أن يعفوا الله.
