nothing on his head or body but that an angel will grasp it, and it will be elongated... until it is in their hands.

He said: They will bring him until they make him stand before his Lord, and his Lord will confirm upon him His favor to him and His Lordship over him. Allah will say: "O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit," until the day is reached when the truthfulness of the truthful will benefit them. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say to Jesus: "Confirm the argument against them." He said: Then they will be brought, and he will dispute with them before their Lord, Blessed and Exalted, for the duration of a thousand years, then the argument will be established against them, the Cross will be set up for them, and they will be driven off to the Fire.

[6195] My father narrated to us, Ibn al-Asbahani narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us from Ibn Wahb, from his father, who said: A man from the People of the Scripture came to Yemen. My father said: Go to him and listen to him. I said: Are you directing me to a Christian man? He said: Yes, go to him and listen to him. So I went to him, and he said: When Allah raised Jesus, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, He made him stand before Gabriel and Michael. He said to him: "Remember My favor upon you and upon your mother. I did such and such for you, and I did such and such for you. Then I brought you out from the womb of your mother and did such and such for you, and did such and such for you. There will be a nation after you who will claim you and claim your divinity, and they will testify that you are a Lord. And how can a Lord die? So I will settle the account with them on the Day of Resurrection and will make them stand in the position of an adversary with an adversary until they fulfill what they said, and they will never fulfill it." I said: How can you speak this speech about Jesus when you are a Christian? He said: I do not find anyone I trust. I said: Then I. He said: So he accepted Islam and brought forth traditions the likes of which I have never heard.

His saying, the Exalted: "When I supported you"

[6977] Ahmad ibn ‘Amr ibn Abi ‘Asim al-Nabil narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Shabib ibn Bishr narrated to us, ‘Ikrimah narrated to us from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding the saying of Allah "We supported him," meaning: We drew him near.

[6978] My father narrated to us, Shihab ibn ‘Abbad narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Humayd narrated to us from Isma‘il ibn Abi Khalid regarding "And We supported him with the Holy Spirit," he said: Gabriel aided him.
