His saying: "And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings, except [that they are] nations like you." He says: The birds are a nation, humans are a nation, and the jinn are a nation.

7258 - Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Except [that they are] nations like you," he said: Creatures like you.

His saying: "We have not neglected in the Book a thing."

7259 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "We have not neglected in the Book a thing," meaning: We have not left out anything without having written it in the Mother of the Book.

7260 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, who said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding "We have not neglected in the Book a thing," he said: He did not omit anything in the Book; there is nothing but that it is in that Book.

His saying: "Then unto their Lord they will be gathered."

7261 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Nu‘aym narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from his father, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, meaning His saying: "Then unto their Lord they will be gathered," he said: Its gathering is death. It was also narrated from Mujahid and al-Dahhak something similar.

7262 - Abu Sa‘id ibn Yahya ibn Sa‘id al-Qattan narrated to us, Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, Ja‘far ibn Burqan narrated to us, Yazid ibn al-Asamm narrated to us, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah saying: "There is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings but that it will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection, then retribution will be exacted from some for others, until retribution is exacted for the hornless sheep from the horned one. Then He will say to them: 'Be dust.' At that moment, the disbeliever will say: 'Oh, I wish I were dust.' If you wish, recite: 'And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings.'"

His saying: "But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb."
