الترجمة · EN

[...from] 'And of his descendants, Dawud (David) and Sulayman (Solomon),' until His saying: 'Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so take their guidance.' He said: Your Prophet (peace be upon him) was commanded to take guidance from Dawud (peace be upon him).

7580 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: 'Those are the ones...' the verse: O Muhammad, take their guidance, and do not follow these.

7581 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed us in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marwazi narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: 'Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so take their guidance,' he said: Allah narrated to him [the Prophet] eighteen prophets, then He commanded your Prophet to follow them. He said: And you, take guidance from the righteous before you.

His saying: 'Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it.'

7582 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: 'Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it,' he said: Say to them, O Muhammad: I do not ask of you any reward for what I invite you to.

7583 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Abi Ayyub informed me, from 'Ata' ibn Dinar regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: 'I do not ask of you any reward for it,' he says: I do not ask of you any reward for what I have brought to you.

7584 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed me, Asbagh ibn Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: 'Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it,' he says: I do not ask of you any reward for the Qur'an.

His saying: 'Any reward.'

7585 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: 'Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it,' he says: [Meaning] any worldly interest.
