His saying: "None may eat them except whom we will," according to their claim.
7926 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: His saying: "None may eat them except whom we will," according to their claim, meaning they say: It is forbidden to eat them except for whom we wish.
7927 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding His saying: "None may eat them except whom we will," according to their claim. They said: We restrict them from women and designate them for men.
His saying: "And livestock whose backs are forbidden"
7928 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: His saying: "And livestock whose backs are forbidden," he said: The Bahirah, the Sa'ibah, and the Ham.
7929 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas informed us, Yazid narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah: His saying: "And livestock whose backs are forbidden." They were forbidden to them in their wealth by the devil, an exaggeration and a strictness; that was from the devil, and it was not from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.
His saying: "And livestock upon which they do not mention the name of Allah"
7930 - My father narrated to us, Muqatil ibn Muhammad al-Razi and Yahya al-Himmani narrated to us, they said: Abu Bakr ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il: "And livestock upon which they do not mention the name of Allah." He said: They would not perform Hajj (pilgrimage) upon them.
7931 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: His saying: "And livestock upon which they do not mention the name of Allah." So they would not mention the name of Allah upon them when they birthed them, nor when they slaughtered them.
His saying: "...in fabrication against Him; He will recompense them for what they used to fabricate."
7932 - Abu Walid Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam: "And they said, 'If we wish, we will give the females a share in it, and if we wish, we will not give,' and this is a matter they fabricated against Allah; He will recompense them for what they used to fabricate."

٧٩٢٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ فيا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: قَوْلَهُ: لَا يَطْعَمُهَا إِلا مَنْ نَشَاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ فَيَقُولُونَ:
حَرَامٌ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ إِلَّا مَنْ شِئْنَا.
٧٩٢٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَا يَطْعَمُهَا إِلا مَنْ نَشَاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ قَالُوا: نَحْتَجِرُهَا عَنِ النِّسَاءِ وَنَجْعَلُهَا لِلرِّجَالِ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا
٧٩٢٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: قَوْلَهُ: وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا قَالَ: الْبَحِيرَةُ وَالسَّائِبَةُ وَالْحَامِ.
٧٩٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ ثنا يَزِيدُ ثنا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: قَوْلُهُ:
وأنعام حرمت ظهورها كانت تحرم عليهم في أَمْوَالِهِمْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، وَتَغْلِيظٌ وَتَشْدِيدٌ، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ ذَلِكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَأَنْعَامٌ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا
٧٩٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُقَاتِلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ويحي الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالا: ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ: وَأَنْعَامٌ لَا يذكرون اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ: لَمْ يَكُنْ يُحَجُّ عَلَيْهَا.
٧٩٣١ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: قَوْلَهُ: وَأَنْعَامٌ لا يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا فَكَانُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِذَا وَلَّدُوهَا، وَلا إِنْ نَحَرُوهَا.
قَوْلُهُ: افْتِرَاءً عَلَيْهِ، سَيَجْزِيهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
٧٩٣٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو وَلِيدٍ يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ: وَقَالُوا: إِنْ شِئْنَا جَعَلْنَا لِلْبَنَاتِ فِيهِ نَصِيبًا وَإِنْ شِئْنَا لَمْ نَجْعَلْ، وَهَذَا أَمْرٌ افْتَرَوْهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ.
