[6171] Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj and 'Amr ibn 'Abd Allah al-Awdi narrated to us, both said: Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Muslim, from al-Hasan, regarding: "Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged," [he said]: "It has been permitted for him to invoke [evil] against the one who has wronged him, without transgressing."
[6172] My father narrated to us, al-Nufayli narrated to us, 'Abd Allah—meaning Ibn 'Amr—narrated to us, he said: I asked 'Abd al-Karim about the saying of Allah the Almighty: "Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged," he said: "It is the man who insults you, so you insult him back; but if he slanders you, do not slander him back, similar to His saying: 'And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged.'"
His saying, the Almighty: "If you disclose [something of] good or conceal it or pardon an offense - indeed, ever is Allah Pardoning and Competent."
[6173] Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "If you disclose," he said: "[This is] from certainty and doubt."
[6174] My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: "Allah has informed His servants of His judgment, His pardon, His generosity, the vastness of His mercy, and His forgiveness. So whoever commits a sin, small or large, then seeks forgiveness from Allah, he will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful; even if his sins were greater than the heavens, the earth, and the mountains."
His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers."
[6175] And by way of him, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: "Then Allah described hypocrisy and its people, saying: 'Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers.'"
[6176] My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' reported, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers," he said: "Those are the enemies of Allah, the Jews and the Christians."
His saying, the Almighty: "And His messengers."

٦١٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَوْدِيُّ قَالا: ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ: لَا يُحِبُّ اللَّهُ الْجَهْرَ بِالسُّوءِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ إِلَّا مَنْ ظُلِمَ فَقَدْ رُخِّصَ لَهُ أَنْ يَدْعَوَا عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَعْتَدِيَ.
٦١٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: لَا يُحِبُّ اللَّهُ الْجَهْرَ بِالسُّوءِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ إِلا مَنْ ظُلِمَ قَالَ: هُوَ الرَّجُلُ يَشْتُمُكَ فَتَشْتُمُهُ، وَلَكِنْ إِنِ افْتَرَى عَلَيْكَ فَلا تَفْتَرِي عَلَيْهِ، مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ: وَلَمَنِ انْتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنْ تُبْدُوا خَيْرًا أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ أَوْ تَعْفُوا عَنْ سُوءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عفوا قديرا.
٦١٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سعيد الأشجع، ثنا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ:
إِنْ تُبْدُوا قَالَ: مِنَ الْيَقِينِ وَالشَّكِّ.
٦١٧٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَ اللَّهُ عباده بحكمه وَعَفْوِهِ وَكَرَمِهِ وَسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِهِ وَمَغْفِرَتِهِ، فَمَنْ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا صَغِيرًا أَوْ كَبِيرًا ثُمَّ اسْتَغْفَرَ اللَّهَ يَجِدِ اللَّهَ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا
وَلَوْ كَانَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ أَعْظَمَ مِنَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ.
٦١٧٥ - وَبِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: ثُمَّ وَصَفَ اللَّهُ النِّفَاقَ وَأَهْلَهُ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ.
٦١٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ قَالَ: أُولَئِكَ أَعْدَاءُ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَرُسُلِهِ.
