meaning Ibn Maymun, from a man, meaning Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, "I have repented to You" for asking You to see You.

His saying, the Exalted: "And I am the first of the believers."

8951 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab told us, Bishr reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Glory be to You, I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers," he says: I am the first to believe right now, he says: at this moment that no one shall see You, and for that reason he said: "And I am the first of the believers."

8952 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, Yahya ibn al-Yaman told us, from Sufyan, from 'Isa al-Jurashi, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "I have repented to You and I am the first of the believers," he said: From my asking You to see You.

8953 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And I am the first of the believers," he said: The first of my people in faith.

His saying, the Exalted: "He said, O Moses, I have chosen you over the people."

8954 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, 'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad al-Narsi told us, Yazid ibn Zuray' told us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah who said: Allah took Abraham as a close friend (khalil), and spoke to Moses directly, and made Jesus like unto Adam, creating him from dust then saying to him "Be" and he was; and he is the servant of Allah and His messenger, from Allah's word and His spirit; and He gave Solomon a kingdom that would not belong to anyone after him; and He gave David the Psalms; and He forgave Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace and all of them, for what preceded of his sin and what followed.

8955 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa told us, Harun ibn Hatim told us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "Chosen," meaning selected.

His saying, the Exalted: "And We wrote for him."

8956 - It was mentioned from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Bishr ibn al-Hakam al-Naysaburi, Musa ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Qanbari told us, al-Hakam ibn Aban told me, 'Ikrimah told me that the Torah was written with pens of gold.

His saying, the Exalted: "in the tablets."

يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ الرُّؤْيَةَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

٨٩٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابٌ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: سُبْحَانَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَقُولُ: أَوَّلُ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ الآنَ، يَقُولُ: السَّاعَةُ أَنَّهُ لَا يَرَاكَ أَحَدٌ فَلِذَلِكَ قَالَ: وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.

٨٩٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عِيسَى الْجُرَشِيِّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ: مِنْ سُؤَالِي إِيَّاكَ الرُّؤْيَةَ.

٨٩٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ: أَوَّلُ قَوْمِي إِيمَانًا.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَالَ يَا موسى إِنِّي اصْطَفَيْتُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ

٨٩٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلا، وَكَلَّمَ مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا، وَجَعَلَ عِيسَى كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ خَلَقَهُ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ، وَهُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ كَلِمَةِ اللَّهِ وَرُوحِهِ، وَآتَى سُلَيْمَانَ مُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدَهِ، وَآتَى دَاوُدَ زَبُورًا وَغَفَرَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ.

٨٩٥٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلُهُ: اصْطَفَى يَعْنِي اخْتَارَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ

٨٩٥٦ - ذُكِرَ عَنْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْقَنْبَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ أَنَّ التَّوْرَاةَ كُتِبَتْ بِأَقْلامٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ.
