and by it they judge justly. So these are the ones who will be saved. As for you, O Christian, for Allah says: "Among them is a moderate community, but many of them—evil is what they do." So these are the ones who will be saved. As for us, He says: "And among those We created is a community who guide by the truth and by it they judge justly." So these are the ones who will be saved from this community.

8371 - Hammad ibn al-Hasan ibn 'Anbasah told us, my father told us, from 'Abd al-Rahim al-Razi, from Zakariyya, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Layla al-Wadi'i, who said: 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud recited: "And among the people of Musa is a community who guide by the truth and by it they judge justly." A man said: "I would not like to be among them." 'Abdullah said: "Why? Your righteous ones do not exceed being like them."

8372 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Mundhir ibn Shadhan told us, Hamid ibn Yahya told us, Sufyan told us, from Sadaqah, from al-Suddi: "And among the people of Musa is a community who guide by the truth and by it they judge justly." He said: "Between you and them is a river of sand." Hamid said: "Sand. A river of sand flowing."

8373 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Safwan ibn Salih told us, al-Walid told us, who said: I heard Safwan ibn 'Amr say: They are those whom Allah the Almighty mentioned: "And among the people of Musa is a community who guide by the truth," meaning a power from the tribes of the Children of Israel on the day of the Great Battle (al-Malhama al-'Uthma) who will support Islam and its people.

His saying, the Almighty: "And by it they judge justly"

8374 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Hatim al-Zimmi told us, 'Ali ibn Thabit informed us, from al-Furat ibn Salman, from al-Sha'bi, who said: Allah has servants beyond Andalusia, [at a distance] like that which is between us and Andalusia. They do not believe that what Allah created is disobedient. Their pebbles are pearls and chrysolite, and their mountains are gold and silver. They do not sow, nor do they reap, nor do they perform any work. They have trees at their doors with wide leaves that serve as their clothing, and they have trees at their doors that bear fruit from which they eat.

8375 - My father told us, 'Abdullah ibn Musa told us, Isra'il informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Layla al-Kindi, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: He recited, or it was recited in his presence, "And among the people of Musa is a community who guide by the truth and by it they judge justly." A man said: "It does not please me that I am among them." 'Abdullah said: "Does your companion not exceed them in something, 'who guides by the truth and by it judges justly'?" The Shaykh said: These are not from this category.

His saying, the Almighty: "And We divided them into twelve tribes"
