His saying, the Almighty: "And to make firm therewith the feet."

8870 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi: "And to make firm therewith the feet," until they become steady on the sand, for it is like the nature of the earth.

It was narrated from Qatadah that he said: They fought on a sandy hill (kathib a'far), and Allah the Almighty firmed it with the water.

8871 - Al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid narrated to us, Ibn Shu'ayb informed us, Sa'id ibn Bashir informed us from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And to make firm therewith the feet," he said: The bed of the valley was loose sand (dahas), so when they were rained upon, the sand became firm.

His saying, the Almighty: "[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels."

8872 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa al-Kufi narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Musayyibi narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Fulayh narrated to us from Musa ibn 'Uqbah, from Ibn Shihab: Then He informed them of what Allah inspired to the angels regarding their support, so He said: "[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, 'Indeed, I am with you.'"

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, I am with you."

8873 - Abu Badr 'Abbad ibn al-Walid al-Ghubari informed us in what he wrote to me, saying: I heard Abu Sa'id (meaning Ahmad ibn Dawud al-Haddad) saying: Allah the Mighty and Majestic did not say to anything that He is with it, except to the angels on the day of Badr. He said: "Indeed, I am with you" with support.

His saying, the Almighty: "So strengthen those who have believed."

8874 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, Abu Ghassan Zunayj narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us from 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr: "So strengthen those who have believed," meaning, and support those who have believed.

His saying, the Almighty: "I will cast into the hearts of those who disbelieved terror."

8875 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to us, my uncle al-Husayn narrated to us from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "I will cast into the hearts of those who disbelieved terror," he said: Allah cast terror into the heart of Abu Sufyan, so he returned to Makkah. The Prophet, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), said: "Abu Sufyan has taken a portion of you, and he has returned, and Allah has cast terror into his heart."
