His saying, the Almighty: "With wrath from Allah."
8902 - And through this [chain] from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "With wrath," he says: They have incurred displeasure.
His saying, the Almighty: "And his refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination."
8903 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freedman of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Salamah ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, from 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr regarding "Then he has incurred wrath from Allah and his refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination," as an incitement for them against their enemy, so that they would not fail against them when they met them, for Allah has promised them what He promised them.
8904 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding "Then he has incurred wrath from Allah and his refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination," that this is specifically regarding the day of Badr. Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, had strengthened it for the Muslims on that day to cut off the roots of the disbelievers, and it was the first battle in which he fought the polytheists from the people of Mecca.
His saying, the Almighty: "And you threw not when you threw, but it was Allah who threw."
8905 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "And you threw not," [addressed] to the companions of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—when this one said: "I killed so-and-so," and that one said: "I killed so-and-so."
His saying, the Almighty: "And you threw not when you threw, but it was Allah who threw."
[The First Aspect]
8906 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn Sa'id ibn Nawfal ibn Musahiq al-'Amiri narrated to us, Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Hani' narrated to us, from Musa ibn Ya'qub al-Zam'i, from Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah, from Abu Bakr ibn Sulayman ibn Abi Hathmah, from Hakim ibn Hizam, who said: When it was the day of Badr, we heard a sound that descended from the heaven to the earth, as if it were the sound of a pebble that had fallen into a basin. The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—threw those pebbles and they were defeated; that is in the saying of Allah: "And you threw not when you threw, but it was Allah who threw, that He might test the believers with a good test from Him."
