8450 - Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi: regarding His saying: "it curses its sister," he says: Every time the people of a religion enter, they curse their companions in that religion. The polytheists curse the polytheists, the Jews curse the Jews, the Christians curse the Christians, the Sabians curse the Sabians, and the Magians curse the Magians; the latter curses the former.

His saying: "Until when they have all followed one another into it" - the verse

8451 - And through him from al-Suddi: regarding His saying: "Until when they have all followed one another into it," the latter of them—those who were at the end of time—will say to their former ones—those who legislated that religion for them: "Our Lord, these have misled us, so give them a double punishment from the Fire."

8452 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn Bashshar and Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna told us, both saying: ‘Abd al-Malik al-Misma‘i told us, ‘Imran ibn Hudayr told us, from Abu Mijlaz regarding this verse: "The latter of them will say to their former ones, 'Our Lord, these have misled us, so give them a double punishment from the Fire.'" And their former ones will say to their latter ones: "It was made clear to you what happened to us, and you were warned, so you have no superiority over us."

8453 - al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan told us, Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Harawi told us, Hajjaj informed us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Mujahid: "a double punishment," he said: doubled.
