at his head and says: "Come forth, O wicked soul, to the wrath and anger of God." He said: It then disperses throughout his body, and he extracts it, severing the veins and nerves with it, just as a skewer is extracted from wet wool. He said: Then they take it and do not leave it in his hand for the blinking of an eye. He said: And there exits from it the foulest stench of a carcass found on the face of the earth. He said: They ascend with it, and they do not pass by any assembly of angels but that they ask, "What is this foul soul?" He said: They reply, "So-and-so," using the worst of the names he was called by in the world. When he is brought to the lowest Heaven, the gates of Heaven are closed against it. Then he recited: "The gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle."

His saying, the Almighty: "And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment."

8466 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, Ibn 'Uyaynah reported to us, from Isra'il, he said: I heard al-Hasan say: 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said: "It was revealed, by God, concerning us, the people of Badr: 'And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment.'"

[His saying: of resentment]

8468 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, Khalid told us, from 'Awf, from al-Hasan, he said: It has reached me that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The people of Paradise will be detained after they cross the Sirat (Bridge) so that retribution may be taken for the injustices they committed against one another in the world. Then they will enter Paradise, and there will be no resentment in the hearts of one for another."

8469 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Abu Bakr and 'Uthman told us, Abu Shaybah reported to us, they both said: Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment," he said: "It means enmity."

His saying, the Almighty: "Rivers flowing beneath them."
