His saying, Exalted is He: "Then convey him to his place of safety"

10089 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid (1) regarding His saying: "Then convey him to his place of safety" from where he came.

10090 - My father narrated to us, Sahl ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj said: 'Ata' said regarding a man from the people of shirk who comes to the Muslims without a treaty: He is given a choice: either he is permitted to remain, or he is conveyed to his place of safety.

10091 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us—in what he wrote to me—, Asbagh informed us, Ibn Zayd narrated to us regarding His saying: "Then convey him to his place of safety," he said: If what you recount to him and narrate to him does not appeal to him, then convey him to his place of safety, and this is not abrogated.

His saying, Exalted is He: "That is because they are a people who do not know"

10092 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us from Abu Rawq from al-Dahhak from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "do not know," he says: They do not understand.

His saying, Exalted is He: "How can there be a treaty for the polytheists with Allah and with His Messenger"

10093 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, then he said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had been in a treaty with some of the polytheists, and he had also made a treaty with some people from Banu Damrah ibn Bakr and Kinanah specifically; he made a treaty with them near the Sacred Mosque, and he set their term for four months, and they are the ones whom Allah mentioned: "Except for those with whom you made a treaty at the Sacred Mosque."

10094 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim informed us—in what he wrote to me—, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "How can there be a treaty for the polytheists with Allah and with His Messenger except for those with whom you made a treaty at the Sacred Mosque? So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them." They are the Banu Jadhimah ibn so-and-so.
