الترجمة · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "as if it had not flourished yesterday."

10319 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la told us, Muhammad ibn Thawr told us, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah regarding: "as if it had not flourished yesterday," he said: As if it had not enjoyed comfort yesterday.

10320 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman told us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali told us, 'Amir told us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi regarding: "as if it had not flourished yesterday" with its adornment.

His saying, the Exalted: "Thus do We explain the signs."

10321 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman informed me in what Ahmad ibn Mufaddal wrote to me, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi regarding: "Thus do We explain," as for "explain": We clarify.

His saying, the Exalted: "for a people who give thought."

[The First Aspect]

10322 - My father told us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, told us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih told me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "give thought," he said: Meaning, in the passing of the world, its annihilation, the approach of the Hereafter, and its permanence.

10323 - My father told us, 'Ali ibn Muhammad al-Tanafisi said: Abu Usamah told us, from al-Sa'q al-Tamimi, he said: I witnessed al-Hasan, and he read this verse: "give thought," he said: By Allah, he who reflects upon it knows that the world is a house of trial, then a house of annihilation, and he should know that the house of the Hereafter is a house of recompense, then a house of permanence.

10324 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa told us, 'Amr ibn Humran told us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding: "for a people who give thought," he said: This is a parable that Allah has singled out, so understand the parables from Allah, for Allah says: "And these parables We present to the people, but none will understand them except the knowledgeable."

The Second Aspect:

10325 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, from al-Thawri, he said: Mujahid said regarding: "give thought": They obey.

His saying, the Exalted: "And Allah invites to the Home of Peace."

10326 - My father told us, al-Husayn ibn Salamah ibn Abi Kabshah told us, 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr told us, 'Abbad ibn Rashid told us, from Qatadah, Khulayd ibn 'Abd Allah al-'Asari told me, from Abu al-Darda', he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no day upon which the sun rises except that two angels manifest and call out, which all of Allah’s creation hears except the two species (jinn and mankind):

O people, come to your Lord! "And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path."
