His saying, the Exalted: "And they will be lost to them."

10370 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding his saying: "And they will be lost to them, what they used to fabricate," this is in the Resurrection.

His saying, the Exalted: "What they used to fabricate"

[The first interpretation]

10372 - And by the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding his saying: "What they used to fabricate," meaning: They used to commit shirk (polytheism).

The second interpretation:

10373 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding his saying: "And they will be lost to them, what they used to fabricate," and he said: "What they used to invoke alongside Him of rivals and gods, and that is because they made them rivals alongside Allah, as a fabrication and a lie."

His saying, the Exalted: "Say, 'Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sights?'"

His saying: "He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living."

Its interpretation has already preceded.

His saying, the Exalted: "Who manages the affair? They will say, 'Allah.'"

10374 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding "manages the affair," he said: "He decides it alone."

His saying, the Exalted: "Will you not then fear Him?"

10375 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad told us, Adam told us, Abu Safwan told us, al-Qasim ibn Yazid ibn 'Awanah told us, from Yahya, Juwaybir told us, from al-Dahhak, regarding his saying: "Will you not then fear Him?" He said: "You will fear the Fire through the five daily prayers."
