10047 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la al-San'ani narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Thawr narrated to us from Ma'mar from al-Hasan regarding "a confidant (walijah)," he said: It is disbelief and hypocrisy, or he said: one of the two.
10048 - Kathir ibn Shihab al-Qazwini narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us from al-Rabi' regarding His saying: "a confidant (walijah)," he said: Intimates.
10049 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim informed me—in what he wrote to me—, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "And have not taken ... the believers as a confidant," he said: He draws them in through loyalty to the polytheists.
His saying, Exalted is He: "It is not for the polytheists"
10050 - And through the same chain from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allah," he says: It is not appropriate for them to maintain it.

10051 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Mu'tamir narrated to us from 'Imran ibn Hudayr from 'Ikrimah regarding His saying: "It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allah," he said: It is only one mosque. He said: And he said: Indeed, al-Safa and al-Marwah are among the mosques of Allah.
His saying, Exalted is He: "Witnessing against themselves with disbelief"
10052 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman informed me—in what he wrote to me—, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Witnessing against themselves with disbelief," for the Christian is asked: What are you? He says: A Christian. And the Jew says: A Jew. And the Sabean says: A Sabean. And the polytheist says, when you ask him: What is your religion? He says: A polytheist. No one would say it except the Arabs.
His saying, Exalted is He: "Those are the ones whose deeds have become worthless"
10053 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us from Asbat from al-Suddi from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "have become worthless (habit)," he means: their deeds have become invalid.

١٠٠٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ وَلِيجَةً قَالَ: هُوَ الْكُفْرُ وَالنِّفَاقُ، أَوْ قَالَ: أَحَدُهُمَا.
١٠٠٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ شِهَابٍ الْقَزْوِينِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلِيجَةً قَالَ: دُخَلاءٌ.
١٠٠٤٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ- فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ- ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: وَلا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةً قَالَ: يَتَوَلَّجُهَا مِنَ الْوَلايَةِ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ
١٠٠٥٠ - وَبِهِ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أن يعمروا مساجد اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: مَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ أَنْ يَعْمُرُوهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنْ يَعْمُرُوا مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ
١٠٠٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ جديرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يَعْمُرُوا مساجد اللَّهِ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا هُوَ مَسْجِدٌ وَاحِدٌ قَالَ: وَقَالَ: إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ مَسَاجِدِ اللَّهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: شَاهِدَيْنِ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ بِالْكُفْرِ
١٠٠٥٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ- فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ- ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: شَاهِدَيْنِ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ بِالْكُفْرِ فَإِنَّ النَّصْرَانِيَّ يُسْأَلُ: مَا أَنْتَ؟ فَيَقُولُ: نَصْرَانِيُّ، وَالْيَهُودِيُّ يَقُولُ: يَهُودِيٌّ، وَالصَّابِئُ يَقُولُ: صَابِئٌ، وَالْمُشْرِكُ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَأَلْتَهُ مَا دِينُكَ؟ فَيَقُولُ: مُشْرِكٌ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لَيَقُولَهُ أَحَدٌ إِلا الْعَرَبُ «١» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أُولَئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ
١٠٠٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلُهُ: حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ يَعْنِي، بَطَلَتْ أعمالهم.
