10934 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us, in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: "Disembark with peace from Us." He said: They disembarked, and Allah was pleased with them; they disembarked with peace from Allah, and they were the people of His mercy among the people of that era.
10935 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Ju'fi, the nephew of al-Husayn al-Ju'fi, told us, 'Abd al-Hamid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Himmani told us, from al-Nadr Abu 'Umar al-Khazzaz, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas: The first thing Noah planted when he emerged from the Ark was myrtle.
10936 - My father told us, Sa'id ibn Sulayman al-Wasiti told us, Salih ibn 'Umar told us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, he said: I heard al-Hasan saying regarding His saying: "It was said, 'O Noah, disembark with peace from Us and blessings upon you and upon nations from those with you.'" He said: So Allah saved Noah and those with him and destroyed the obstinate ones. Then the Prophets, Hud, Shu'ayb, and Salih, were established, and [He] destroyed the obstinate ones.
10937 - Ahmad ibn al-Azhar informed us, in what he wrote to me, Wahb ibn Jarir told us, my father told us, from 'Ali ibn al-Hakam, from al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "With peace from Us and blessings upon you and upon nations from those with you." He means: "Nations from those with you" refers to those who had not yet been born. For those who preceded in the speech of Allah is felicity, and as for those for whom wretchedness was decreed in the judgment and word of Allah, He shall let them enjoy themselves a little, then He will drive them to a severe punishment.
His saying, the Exalted: "And blessings upon you and upon nations from those with you."
10938 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, Abu Yahya al-Razi told us, Ishaq ibn Sulayman told us, from Musa ibn 'Ubaydah, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b: "It was said, 'O Noah, disembark with peace from Us and blessings upon you and upon nations from those with you.'" He said: No believing man or woman remained, except that they entered into that peace and into those blessings until the Day of Resurrection.
