الترجمة · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "And you already know what we want."

11074 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Umar ibn Hammad ibn Talhah al-'Annad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi: "And you already know what we want," he said: We only want the men.

11075 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa told us, Salamah told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: "And you already know what we want," he said: Our desire is for something other than that.

His saying, the Exalted: "He said: If only I had strength against you or could take refuge in a strong support."

11076 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la read it to us, Ibn Wahb told us, Sulayman ibn Bilal informed me, from Muhammad ibn 'Amr ibn 'Alqamah, from Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "May the mercy of Allah be upon Lot; he did indeed take refuge in a strong support." He said to his people: "If only I had strength against you or could take refuge in a strong support." He said: Allah did not send any prophet except from within the protection (tharwah) of his people.

11077 - My father told us, al-Husayn ibn 'Umar ibn Shaqiq told us, Ja'far ibn Sulayman told us, from Abu 'Imran al-Jawni, from 'Abd Allah ibn Rabah, from Ka'b, "or could take refuge in a strong support," he said: to a clan that would protect me.

11078 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "or could take refuge in a strong support," he said: to his Lord.

11079 - My father told us, Musa ibn Isma'il told us, Mubarak told us, from al-Husayn regarding His saying: "or could take refuge in a strong support," and he said: to a strong support among the people who would protect him. No, by Allah, he did not find it, until he said: "Is there not among you a man of right judgment?"

His saying, the Exalted: "O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; they will never reach you."

11080 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Kathir told us, Sulayman ibn Kathir told us, Husayn told us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: When the messengers of Allah entered upon Lot, Lot thought they were guests. He said: So he brought his daughters out by the road and placed his guests between him and his daughters. He said: And his people came to him, rushing towards him. He said: "These are my daughters; they are purer for you; so fear Allah," up to his saying: "or could take refuge in"
