11114 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la al-San'ani told us, Muhammad ibn Thawr told us, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah and 'Ikrimah, regarding: "And it is not far from the wrongdoers," they said: No wrongdoer after them has been exempted from it.
11115 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Umar ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And it is not far from the wrongdoers," he said: No wrongdoer after them has been exempted from it.
11116 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Amr ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And it is not far from the wrongdoers," he says: From the wrongdoers of the Arabs, if they do not believe, they shall be punished by it.
11117 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far told us, from his father, from al-Rabi', regarding His saying: "And it is not far from the wrongdoers," he said: Every wrongdoer, according to what we have heard, has had a stone placed beside him, waiting to see when he will be commanded to fall upon him; thus He warned the wrongdoers, saying: "And it is not far from the wrongdoers."
11118 - My father told us, al-Husayn ibn Waqi' al-Ramli told us, Damrah told us, from Ibn Shawdhab, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And it is not far from the wrongdoers," he said: From the wrongdoers of this nation. Then he said: By Allah, Allah has not spared any wrongdoer from it after them.
His saying, the Exalted: "And to Madyan, their brother Shu'ayb. He said: O my people, worship Allah..." the verse.
11119 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi regarding "to Madyan, their brother Shu'ayb," he said: Allah sent Shu'ayb to Madyan and to the people of al-Aykah; it is the thicket of trees.
His saying, the Exalted: "And do not diminish the measure and the balance."
11120 - My father told us, Salamah ibn Bashir Abu al-Fadl al-Naysaburi told us, Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Himsi told us, from Yazid ibn 'Ata', from Khalaf ibn Hawshab, he said: The people of Shu'ayb perished from one grain to another; they used to take [goods] by the heavy [measure] and give by the light [measure].
11121 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, he said: Allah sent Shu'ayb to Madyan, and despite their disbelief, they were cheating in measure and weight. He called them, but they denied him, and he said to them what Allah mentioned in the Quran, and they responded to him, and when they became arrogant and denied him, they asked him for the punishment.
