His saying, the Exalted: "as corrupters."

11129 - Musa ibn Abi Musa al-Khatmi told us, Harun ibn Hatim told us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik: "And do not commit abuse on the earth as corrupters," he said: Do not walk upon it [engaged in] sins.

His saying: "What remains of Allah is better for you, if you are believers."

11130 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "What remains of Allah is better for you," he said: Obedience to Allah.

11131 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "What remains of Allah is better for you," he says: Your portion from your Lord is better for you.

11132 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far told us, from his father, from al-Rabi': "What remains of Allah is better for you," he said: The command of Allah is better for you.

11133 - Ahmad ibn 'Isam al-Ansari told us, Mu'ammal ibn Rabi'ah told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, Humayd told us, from al-Hasan regarding his saying: "What remains of Allah is better for you," he said: The provision of Allah is better for you than your depriving people.

11134 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: "What remains of Allah is better for you, if you are believers," he said: Destruction is in the punishment, and the remainder is in mercy.

His saying, the Exalted: "They said, 'O Shu'ayb, does your prayer command you.'"

11135 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq told us, al-Thawri told us, from al-A'mash: "Does your prayer command you": [Meaning] your recitation.

His saying, the Exalted: "That we should leave what our fathers worship."

11136 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umar al-'Adani told us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah told us, from a man, from al-Hasan regarding his saying: "O Shu'ayb, does your prayer command you that we should leave what our fathers worship?" He says: Yes, by Allah, his prayers indeed command them to leave what their fathers used to worship.
