مجلد 6 · صفحة 54قوله تعالى: والله على كل شيء قدير.

الترجمة · EN

among them in the desert were people teaching their people, so the hypocrites said: "Some people from the companions of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) have remained in the desert," and they said: "The people of the desert are ruined." Then it was revealed: "And it is not for the believers to go forth in their entirety."

10035 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Hajjaj ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj and 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' narrated to us, from 'Ata' al-Khurasani, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas, who said regarding [Surah] Bara'ah: "If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment and will replace you with another people and you will not harm Him at all" (the verse). So these verses were abrogated by: "And it is not for the believers to go forth in their entirety" (the verse). It was also narrated from 'Ikrimah, al-Hasan, and Zayd ibn Aslam that it is abrogated.

His saying, Exalted is He: "And Allah is over all things competent."

Its interpretation from Ibn Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) has already preceded.

His saying, Exalted is He: "If you do not aid him, Allah has already aided him."

10036 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "If you do not aid him," he mentioned what was of his early affairs when he was sent, saying: So Allah is doing that for him, aiding him as He aided him when he was the second of two.

His saying, Exalted is He: "When those who disbelieved had driven him out."

10037 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Raja' narrated to us, Isra'il informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, who said: Abu Bakr bought a camel saddle from 'Azib for thirteen dirhams. Abu Bakr said to 'Azib: "Order him (his son) to carry it for me." 'Azib said to him: "No, until you tell me what you and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) did when you both set out while the polytheists were seeking you." He said: "We set out while the people were seeking us, and none of them caught up with us except Suraqah ibn Ju'shum on a horse of his. I said to him: 'This is the seeker who has caught up with us, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Do not grieve, indeed Allah is with us.' When he drew near, there was between us and him the distance of a spear or two-thirds of it. I said: 'This is the seeker who has caught up with us, O Messenger of Allah,' and I wept. He said: 'What makes you weep?' I said: 'By Allah, it is not for myself that I weep, but I weep for you.' The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) prayed against him and said: 'O Allah, suffice us against him.' His horse sank into the ground up to its belly, and he leaped off it. Then he said: 'O Muhammad, I have known that this is your doing, so pray to Allah to save me from what I am in.'"
