تفسير ابن أبي حاتم
مجلد 7 · صفحة 177[سورة الحجر (١٥) : الآيات ٩٢ إلى ٩٣]

الترجمة · EN

from Quraish, who divided [‘idhin] the Book of Allah; some of them claimed it was sorcery, some claimed it was soothsaying, and some claimed it was the myths of the ancients.

His saying: "So by your Lord, We will surely question them all about what they used to do."

12452 - From Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding "So by your Lord, We will surely question them all about what they used to do," he said: All servants will be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about two matters: what they used to worship, and what they responded with to the messengers.

12453 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding "So by your Lord, We will surely question them all," and he said:

"So on that Day, none will be asked about his sin, among mankind or jinn." He said: He will not ask them, "Did you do such and such?" because He is more aware of that than they are. Rather, He will say, "Why did you do such and such?"

His saying: "Then declare that which you are commanded [Fasda']"

12454 - Via the path of Ali, from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding "Then declare [fasda'] that which you are commanded," [it means]: Execute it.

His saying: "And turn away from the polytheists"

12455 - Via the path of Ali, from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding "And turn away from the polytheists," he said: His saying "Then kill the polytheists" abrogated it.

12456 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Then declare that which you are commanded," he said: Recite the Qur'an aloud in the prayer.

His saying: "And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty [al-yaqin]."

12457 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "until there comes to you the certainty [al-yaqin]," he said: [It means] death.
