His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most upright."

13200 - From Qatadah, regarding His saying: "Indeed, this Qur'an guides to that which is most upright," [he said]: "Indeed, this Qur'an guides you to your disease and your remedy. As for your disease, it is sins and transgressions; and as for your remedy, it is seeking forgiveness."

His saying, the Almighty: "And man supplicates for evil as he supplicates for good."

13201 - From al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And man supplicates for evil as he supplicates for good," he said: "That is the supplication of a human being for evil against his children and his wife. One of them becomes angry and prays against them, cursing himself, his wife, his wealth, and his children. If He were to grant him that, it would be difficult for him, so He prevents him from it, then he supplicates for good, and He gives it to him."
