His saying, the Almighty: "And We have certainly honored the children of Adam."

13344 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "And We have certainly honored the children of Adam," he said: "We made them eat with their hands, while the rest of creation eats with their mouths."

His saying, the Almighty: "[The day] when We will summon every people with their leader."

13345 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "[The day] when We will summon every people with their leader," he said: "A leader of guidance and a leader of misguidance."

13346 - From Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "[The day] when We will summon every people with their leader," he said: "With their Prophet."

13347 - From Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding His saying: "[The day] when We will summon every people with their leader," he said: "One of them will be summoned, and he will be given his record in his right hand, and his body will be extended sixty cubits, and his face will be whitened, and a crown of shining light will be placed upon his head. He will then set off toward his companions, and when they see him from afar, they will say: 'O Allah, bring us this [person], and bless us in this,' until he reaches them and says: 'Rejoice, for every man among you has the like of this.'"

"As for the disbeliever, his face will be blackened, and his body will be extended sixty cubits in the image of Adam, and he will wear a crown of fire. His companions will see him and say: 'We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this; O Allah, do not bring us this [person].' He said: 'Then he will come to them, and they will say: "Our Lord, delay him." He will say: "May Allah distance you, for every man among you has the like of this.""

His saying, the Almighty: "And whoever is blind in this [life]..." [to the end of] the verse.

13348 - From Ikrimah, he said: A group of people from the people of Yemen came to Ibn Abbas, and a man asked him: "What do you say regarding the saying of the Almighty: 'And whoever is blind in this [life] will be blind in the Hereafter and more astray in way'?" Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "You have not hit the mark in the question; read what comes before it: 'Your Lord is the one who drives for you the ships in the sea,' until he reached: 'And We have favored them over much of what We have created, with [definite] favor.'" Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, then said: "So whoever is blind to this blessing which he has seen and witnessed, then he is in the matter of the Hereafter, which he has not seen and not witnessed, [even more] blind and more astray in way."
