12709 - From Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Juruzan," he said: He means by 'al-juruz': The ruin.

12710 - From al-Dahhak, he said: 'The Cave' is a grotto in the valley.
His saying: "Al-Raqim."
12711 - Through the chain of Ali, from Ibn Abbas, he said: 'Al-Raqim' is the writing.
12712 - Through the chain of al-'Awfi, from Ibn Abbas, he said: 'Al-Raqim' is a valley below Palestine, near Aila.
12713 - From Sa'id ibn Jubayr, he said: 'Al-Raqim' is a tablet of stone upon which they inscribed the account of the People of the Cave and their affair, then it was placed at the entrance of the Cave.
12714 - From al-Suddi, he said: 'Al-Raqim' is when their names were inscribed on a rock. The king wrote their names on it and wrote that they perished in such and such a time, during the reign of Rebus. Then he placed it in the wall of the city by the gate, so whoever entered or exited would read it. That is the meaning of His saying: "The People of the Cave and Al-Raqim."
12715 - From Ibn Abbas, he said: I do not know what 'al-Raqim' is. I asked Ka'b, and he said: It is the name of the village from which they emerged.
12716 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "Or have you thought that the companions of the Cave and Al-Raqim were among Our signs a wonder?" He says: That which I have given you of knowledge, the Sunnah, and the Book is better than the matter of the People of the Cave and Al-Raqim.
12717 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "Or have you thought that the companions of the Cave and Al-Raqim were among Our signs a wonder?" He said: They were wondering about Our signs, yet they were not the most wonderful of Our signs.

١٢٧١٠ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ قَالَ الْكَهْفِ هُوَ غار في الوادي «٢» .
قوله: الرَّقِيمِ
١٢٧١١ - مِنْ طَرِيق علي، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ الرَّقِيمِ الْكِتَاب «٣» .
١٢٧١٢ - مِنْ طَرِيق العوفي، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: الرَّقِيمِ واد دون فلسطين قريب مِنَ أيلة «٤» .
١٢٧١٣ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ الرَّقِيمِ لوح مِنْ حجارة، كتبوا فيه أصحاب الكهف وأمرهم، ثُمَّ وضع عَلَى باب الكهف «٥» .
١٢٧١٤ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَالَ: الرَّقِيمِ حين رقمت أسماؤهم في الصخرة، كتب الملك فيها أسماءهم وكتب أنهم هلكوا في زمان كذا وكذا في ملك ريبوس، ثُمَّ ضربها في سور المدينة عَلَى الباب، فكان مِنْ دَخَلَ أو خرج قرأها. فذلك قوله: أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ «٦» .
١٢٧١٥ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لا أدري مَا الرقيم وسألت كعبًا فقال: اسم القرية التي خرجوا منها «٧» .
١٢٧١٦ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَمْ حَسِبْتَ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنَ ايَاتِنَا يَقُولُ: الّذِي آتيتك مِنَ العلم والسنة والكتاب، أفضل مِنْ شأن أصحاب الكهف والرقيم «٨» .
١٢٧١٧ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَمْ حَسِبْتَ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنَ ايَاتِنَا عَجَبًا كانوا بقولهم أعجب آياتنا، ليسوا بأعجب آياتنا «٩» .
