12901 - From al-Suddi regarding His saying: "They embarked in the ship," he said: "It was only a ferry on the water of al-Kur, measuring a parasang by a parasang."

12905 - From Abu al-Aliyah, and through the path of Hammad ibn Zayd, from Shayb ibn al-Hijab, they both said: "Al-Khidr was a servant whom eyes would not see, except for the one whom Allah intended to see him. So, none of the people saw him except Moses. If the people had seen him, they would have intervened between him and the damaging of the ship, and between him and the killing of the boy." Hammad said: "And they used to believe that sudden death was from that."

12906 - From Sa'id ibn Abd al-Aziz regarding His saying: "They met a boy," he said: "He was a boy of twenty years of age."
His saying: "You have killed a pure soul."
12907 - Through the path of Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, that he used to recite: "You have killed a pure (zakiyyah) soul." Sa'id said: "Zakiyyah means Muslim."

12909 - From Atiyyah that he used to recite: "Zakiyyah," and he would say: "It is spelled with a ta' (as opposed to a ha')."

12910 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "You have done something nukran," he said: "Al-nukr is more repulsive than 'ajab (amazing)."

قَوْلِهِ: رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ قَالَ: إنما كانت معبرًا في ماء الكر فرسخ في فرسخ «١» .

١٢٩٠٢ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: شَيْئًا إِمْرًا يَقُولُ: منكرا «٢» .
١٢٩٠٣ - عَنْ قَتَادَة فِي قَوْلِهِ: شَيْئًا إِمْرًا قَالَ: عجبًا «٣» .
١٢٩٠٤ - عَنِ أَبِي صخر فِي قَوْلِهِ: شَيْئًا إِمْرًا قَالَ: عظيمًا «٤» .
١٢٩٠٥ - عَنْ أَبِي العالية ومن طَرِيق حَمَّادُ بن زَيْدٍ، عَنْ شيب بن الحجاب قالا: كَانَ الخضر عبدًا لا تراه الأعين، إلا مِنَ أراد الله إِنَّ يريه إياه فلم يره مِنَ القوم إلا موسى، ولو رآه القوم لحالوا بينه وبين خرق السفينة وبين قتل الغلام. قَالَ حَمَّادُ: وكانوا يرون إِنَّ موت الفجأة مِنْ ذَلِكَ «٥» .
قوله: لَقِيَا غُلامًا
١٢٩٠٦ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْد العزيز فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَقِيَا غُلامًا قَالَ: كَانَ غلامًا ابن عشرين سنة «٦» .
قوله: قتلت نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً
١٢٩٠٧ - مِنْ طَرِيق سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يقرأ قتلت نفسًا زكية قَالَ سعيد: زكية مسلمة «٧» .
١٢٩٠٨ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً قَالَ: لَمْ تبلغ الخطايا «٨» .
١٢٩٠٩ - عَنْ عطية أنه كَانَ يقرأ: زَكِيَّةً ويقول: تائية «٩» .
قوله: لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا نُكْرًا
١٢٩١٠ - عَنْ قَتَادَة فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا نُكْرًا قَالَ: النكر أنكر من العجب. «١٠»
