11630 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "O my two companions of the prison, as for one of you, he will give his lord to drink wine, so he will be returned to his position. And as for the other, he will be crucified and birds will eat from his head." They were terrified and said: "Regarding what did you interpret [this]? By Allah, we did not see anything." Joseph said: "The matter concerning which you both inquire has been decreed."
His saying, the Exalted: "The matter concerning which you both inquire has been decreed."
11631 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Shayban ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, al-A‘mash narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Abu ‘Ubaydah, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Mas‘ud, who said: When they narrated [the dream] to Joseph, and he informed them, they said: "We did not see anything." He said: "The matter concerning which you both inquire has been decreed," meaning: "The interpretation has occurred."
11632 - My father narrated to us, Nu‘aym ibn Hammad and ‘Ali ibn Ja‘far ibn Ziyad al-Ahmar narrated to us, both saying: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Umarah ibn al-Qa‘qa‘, from Ibrahim, from ‘Alqamah, from ‘Abd Allah, that he said regarding the two young men who came to Joseph regarding the dream: "They only lied to test him. When he interpreted their dream, they said: 'We were only playing.' So he said: 'The matter concerning which you both inquire has been decreed.'"
11633 - ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, al-Husayn narrated to us, ‘Amir narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, who said: Joseph said: "The matter concerning which you both inquire has been decreed; this is something that will surely happen and cannot be avoided."
His saying, the Exalted: "And he said to the one he knew would be saved among them, 'Mention me to your master.'"
11634 - My father narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Khalid ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "May Allah have mercy on Joseph. Had it not been for the word he uttered, 'Mention me to your master,' he would not have remained in prison for as long as he did."
11635 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, who said: The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "May Allah have mercy on Joseph. Had it not been for his word, he would not have remained in prison as long as he did." He said: Then al-Hasan would weep and say: "When an affair befalls us, we turn to the people in our distress."
11636 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Mention me to your master," to the one who was saved among the two companions of the prison, Joseph saying: "Mention me to the King." But he did not mention him until the King saw the dream.

١١٦٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: يَا صَاحِبَيِ السِّجْنِ أَمَّا أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِي رَبَّهُ خَمْرًا فَيُعَادُ عَلَى مَكَانِهِ وَأَمَّا الآخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ الطَّيْرُ مِنْ رَأْسِهِ فَفَزِعَا، وَقَالا مِمَّا عَبَرَ؟ وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا شَيْئًا قَالَ يُوسُفُ: قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ
١١٦٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ثنا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَصَّا عَلَى يُوسُفَ، فَأَخْبَرَهُمَا قَالا: إِنَّا لَمْ نَرَ شَيْئًا، قَالَ: قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ يَقُولُ: وَقَعَتِ الْعِبَارَةُ.
١١٦٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الأَحْمَرُ، قَالا:
ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْفَتَيَيْنِ الذين أَتَيَا يُوسُفَ فِي الرُّؤْيَا: إِنَّمَا كَذَبَا لِيُجَرِّبَاهُ فَلَمَّا أَوَّلَ رُؤْيَاهُمَا، قَالا: إِنَّا كُنَّا نَلْعَبُ، فَقَالَ: قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ
١١٦٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ، ثنا عَامِرٌ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَالَ يُوسُفُ: قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ الذي فيه تستفتيان إن هذا كائن لا بد مِنْهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ نَاجٍ مِنْهُمَا اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ ربك.
١١٦٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ يُوسُفَ، لَوْلا الْكَلِمَةُ الَّتِي قَالَهَا: اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ مَا لَبِثَ فِي السِّجْنِ مَا لَبِثَ
١١٦٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عن يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ:
قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: رَحِمَ اللَّهُ يُوسُفَ، لَوْلا كَلِمَتُهُ مَا لَبِثَ فِي السِّجْنِ طُولَ مَا لَبِثَ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَبْكِي الْحَسَنُ، وَيَقُولُ: إِذَا نَزَلَ بِنَا أَمَرٌ فَزَعْنَا إِلَى النَّاسِ.
١١٦٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١»
قَوْلُهُ: اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلَّذِي نَجَا مِنْ صَاحِبَى السِّجْنِ، يُوسُفُ يَقُولُ:
اذْكُرْنِي لِلْمَلِكِ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرْهُ حَتَّى رَأَى الْمَلِكُ الرؤيا.
