His saying, the Almighty: "If this is not but a falsehood which he has forged."
14969 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Yahya ibn Yaman reported to us, from Ash'ath, from Ja'far, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: Everything in the Quran that is [labeled] 'ifk' (falsehood) means a lie.
14970 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And those who disbelieved said, 'If this is not but a falsehood which he has forged,'" and the 'ifk' is: the lie.
His saying, the Almighty: "And others have helped him at it."
14971 - By the same chain, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And others have helped him at it," meaning: at this speech of his and this matter of his.
14972 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And others have helped him at it," he said: The Jews.
His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, they have come with injustice and falsehood."

14975 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Injustice and falsehood," [meaning]: A lie.
His saying, the Almighty: "And they said, 'Legends of the former peoples.'"
14976 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan reported to us, al-Walid reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah: "And they said, 'Legends of the former peoples,'" meaning: the lies of the former peoples and their falsehood.
14977 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid reported to us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq reported to us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah reported to us, from Qatadah: "They said, 'Legends of the former peoples,'" he says: the tales of the former peoples and their falsehood.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنْ هَذَا إِلا إِفْكٌ افْتَرَاهُ

١٤٩٧٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلا إِفْكٌ افْتَرَاهُ وَالإِفْكُ هُوَ:

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ
١٤٩٧١ - بِهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قوله: وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ أَيْ عَلَى حَدِيثِهِ هَذَا وَأَمْرِهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَوْمٌ آخَرُونَ
١٤٩٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا ورقاء، عن ابن نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١»
قَوْلُهُ: وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ آخرون قال: يهود.
قوله تعالى: فقد جاؤ ظُلْمًا وَزُورًا

١٤٩٧٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: قَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الأَوَّلِينَ يَقُولُ: أحاديث الأولين وباطلهم.
