مجلد 8 · صفحة 336[سورة الشعراء (٢٦) : آية ٧٤]

الترجمة · EN

He was filled with great joy because of him. Azar used to craft the idols of his people that they worshipped and then give them to Abraham to sell for him. It is stated that he would go off with them and say, "Who will buy what harms and does not benefit?" Thus, no one would buy them from him. When they remained unsold with him, he would take them to a river that they had and submerge their heads in it, saying, "Drink!" in mockery of his people and the misguidance they were upon. This continued until his criticism of them and his mockery of them became widespread among his people and the inhabitants of his village, without this having reached King Nimrod.
