16422 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas informed us, Yazid narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah: "So when she came, it was said, 'Is your throne like this?' She said, 'It is as if it were it.'" She likened it, as she had left it behind her and found it before her.
16423 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "So when she entered, her throne had been altered, and everything of its ornaments or its coverings was placed in a different position to confuse her. When she entered, it was said, 'Is your throne like this?' She was afraid to say, 'Yes, it is,' lest they say, 'Its ornaments and its clothing were not like this.' And she was afraid to say, 'It is not,' lest it be said to her, 'Rather, it is it, but we changed it,' so she said, 'It is as if it were it.'"
His saying, the Exalted: "And we have been given knowledge before it"
16424 - Al-Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, his saying: "And we have been given knowledge before it," Solomon is the one saying it. And it was narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr similarly.
16425 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us: "And we have been given knowledge before it," Solomon is the one saying it, meaning: he was given the knowledge of Allah and His Oneness.
His saying, the Exalted: "And we have been Muslims"
16426 - By the same chain from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, his saying: "And we have been Muslims," he says: sincere ones.
His saying, the Exalted: "And she was averted by what she used to worship other than Allah"
16427 - Al-Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, his saying: "And she was averted by what she used to worship other than Allah," her disbelief in the decree of Allah—other than the idol—from being guided to the truth.
His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people"
16428 - It was mentioned from Sa'id ibn Sulayman, 'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from Ya'la ibn Muslim, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr: "And she was averted by what she used to worship other than Allah, indeed she was from a disbelieving people," meaning: by her being averted she was from a disbelieving people; it is a description of her and is not a new subject.
