His saying (Exalted is He): "And he said, 'O people'"
16186 - My father narrated to us, 'Isa ibn Muhammad Abu 'Umayr ibn al-Nahhas narrated to us, Damrah narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, he said: The people, in our view, are the people of knowledge.
His saying (Exalted is He): "We have been taught the language of the birds"
16187 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed us in what he wrote to me, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "We have been taught the language of the birds," he said: The ant is among the birds.
His saying (Exalted is He): "And we have been given of all things. Indeed, this is clear bounty."
16188 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "And we have been given of all things," he said: They were given of everything that was in their lands.
16189 - Abu 'Utbah al-Himsi narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Firyabi narrated to us, from Sufyan al-Thawri, from 'Alqamah and 'Ata', from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from Abu al-Darda', he said: David would judge between the beasts for two days and between the people for one day. A cow came and placed its horn in the door ring, then it moaned just as a mother moans for her child, and said: I was young; they would use me for breeding and work me. Then when I grew old, they wanted to slaughter me. Then David said: Treat it kindly and do not slaughter it. Then he recited: "We have been taught the language of the birds, and we have been given of all things."
His saying (Exalted is He): "And there were gathered together for Solomon his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds"
16190 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Abi 'Umar narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Sinan, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, he said: Three hundred thousand chairs would be set up for Solomon. The believing humans would sit on those nearest to him, and the believing jinn behind them. Then he would command the birds, and they would shade him. Then he would command the wind, and it would carry him. Sufyan said: They would pass over a stalk of grain and not move it.
16191 - My father mentioned, al-Qasim ibn al-Harith al-Marwazi narrated to us, 'Abdan informed us, from Abu Hamzah, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas: That Solomon would place his couch, then he would place the chairs on his right and his left, and he would give permission to the humans, then he would give permission to the jinn, and they would be behind

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ
١٦١٨٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ أَبُو عُمَيْرِ بْنُ النَّحَّاسِ، ثنا ضَمْرَةُ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ قَالَ: النَّاسُ عِنْدَنَا أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ
١٦١٨٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ «١» ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ قَالَ: النَّمْلَةُ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ المبين
١٦١٨٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَامِرٌ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ: أُوتُوا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ فِي بِلادِهِمْ.
١٦١٨٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُتْبَةَ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ وَعَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: كَانَ دَاودُ يَقْضِي بَيْنَ الْبَهَائِمِ يَوْمَانِ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ يَوْمًا، فَجَاءَتْ بَقَرَةٌ فَوَضَعَتْ قَرْنَهَا فِي حَلْقَةِ الْبَابِ ثُمَّ تَنَغَّمَتْ كَمَا تَنَغَّمُ الْوَالِدَةُ عَلَى وَلَدِهَا، وَقَالَتْ: كُنْتُ شَابَّةً كَانُوا يُنْتِجُونِي «٢» وَيَسْتَعْمِلُونِي ثُمَّ أَنْ كَبِرْتُ فَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يَذْبَحُونِي ثُمَّ قَالَ: دَاودُ، أَحْسِنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَلا تَذْبَحُوهَا ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَانَ جُنُودُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنْسِ وَالطَّيْرِ
١٦١٩٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ: كَانَ يُوضَعُ لِسُلَيْمَانَ ثَلاثُمِائَةِ أَلْفِ كُرْسِيٍّ، فَيَجْلِسُ مُؤْمِنُو الإِنْسِ مِمَّا يَلِيهِ وَمُؤْمِنُو الْجِنِّ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ، ثُمَّ يَأْمُرُ الطَّيْرَ فَتُظِلُّهُ، ثُمَّ يَأْمُرُ الرِّيحَ فَتَحْمِلُهُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَيَمُرُّونَ عَلَى السُّنْبُلَةِ فَلا يُحَرِّكُونَهَا.
١٦١٩١ - ذَكَرَ أَبَى ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، أنبأ عَبْدَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ كَانَ يَضَعُ سَرِيرَهُ، ثُمَّ يَضَعُ الْكُرْسِيَّ، عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَشِمَالِهِ فَيَأْذَنُ لِلإِنْسِ، ثُمَّ يَأْذَنُ لِلْجِنِّ فيكونون خلف
