His saying, the Almighty: "And thus they do"
16328 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from his father, from Ash'ath ibn Ishaq, from Ja'far ibn Abi al-Mughirah, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: Bilqis said, "Indeed, kings, when they enter a city, they corrupt it and make the most honored of its people humiliated." He said: The Lord, Blessed and Exalted, says: "And thus they do."
His saying, the Almighty: "And indeed, I will send to them a gift"
[The first aspect]
16329 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray', narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And indeed, I will send to them a gift," he said: She said, "I am going to send them a gift, so I will bribe them with it, away from my kingdom, if they are people of the world." He said: So she sent them a brick of gold wrapped in silk and brocade. It was narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr and Abu Salih similar to the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas.
The second aspect:
16330 - Abu Sa'id ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to me, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And indeed, I will send to them a gift," he said: Slave girls dressed as boys, and boys dressed as slave girls.
16331 - Zayd ibn Isma'il al-Sa'igh narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Sulayman narrated to us, 'Abbad narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from Ya'la ibn Muslim, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "And indeed, I will send to them a gift," he said: She sent them eighty male and female servants. She shaved the heads of all of them and said: "If he recognizes the boys from the girls, then he is a prophet, and if he does not recognize the boys from the girls, then he is not a prophet." So he called for water for ablution (wudu') and said: "Perform ablution." The boy began washing from his elbows toward his palms, and the girl began washing from her palms toward her elbows. He said: "These are girls and these are boys."
16332 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us regarding the saying of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic: "And indeed, I will send to them a gift. If this man is a prophet, he will not accept my gift, and you have no power to fight him. And if he is a king among kings, he will accept your gift and you will be able to fight him." So she sent eighty boys and two hundred girls. She dressed the boys in the clothing of girls and shaved the heads of the girls and dressed them in the clothing of boys.

١٦٣٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَتْ بِلْقَيْسُ إِنَّ الْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوا أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَا أَذِلَّةً قَالَ: يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: وَكَذَلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وإني مرسلة إليهم بهدية

١٦٣٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ قَالَ: قَالَتْ إِنِّي بَاعِثَةٌ إِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَمُصَانِعَتُهُمْ بِهَا، عَنْ مُلْكِي إِنْ كَانُوا أَهْلَ دُنْيَا، قَالَ: فَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِمْ بِلَبِنَةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فِي حَرِيرَةٍ وِدِيبَاجٍ، وَرُوِيَ، عَنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ نَحْوُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
الْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
١٦٣٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ حَدَّثَنِي وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَإِنِّي مرسلة إليهم بهدية قال: جواري لِبَاسُهُنَّ الْغِلْمَانُ، وَغِلْمَانٌ لِبَاسُهُنَّ الْجَوَارِي.
١٦٣٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا عَبَّادٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ قَالَ: أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثَمَانِينَ مِنْ وَصِيفٍ وَوَصِيفَةٍ، وحلقت رؤوسهم كُلِّهِمْ وَقَالَتْ: إِنْ عَرَفَ الْغِلْمَانَ مِنَ الْجَوَارِي فَهُوَ نَبِيُّ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْرِفِ الْغِلْمَانَ مِنَ الْجَوَارِي فَلَيْسَ بِنَبِيٍّ، فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ فَقَالَ: تَوَضَّئُوا فَجَعَلَ الْغُلامُ يَأْخُذُ مِنْ مِرْفَقَيْهِ إِلَى كَفِّهِ وَجَعَلَتِ الْجَارِيَةُ تَأْخُذُ مِنْ كَفِّهَا إِلَى مِرْفَقَيْهَا فَقَالَ: هَؤُلاءِ جَوَارٍي وَهَؤُلاءِ غِلْمَانٌ.
١٦٣٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَإِنْ يَكُنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ نَبِيًّا لَمْ يَقْبَلْ هَدِيَّتِي وَلا طَاقَةَ لَكُمْ بِقِتَالِهِ، وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مَلِكًا مِنَ الْمُلُوكِ قَبِلَ هَدِيَّتَكُمْ وَقَوِيتُمْ عَلَى قِتَالِهِ، فَبَعَثَتْ بِثَمَانِينَ غُلامًا، وَمِائَتَيْ جَارِيَةٍ لَبُّسْتِ الْغِلْمَانَ لِبَاسَ الْجَوَارِي وحلقت رؤوس الْجَوَارِي، وَلَبَّسَتْهُمْ لِبَاسَ الْغِلْمَانِ.
