"O Abu Bahr, would you not turn so that we may carry you on our back?" He replied: "O son of my brother, are you perhaps one of the 'arradin (those who seek praise for what they have not done)?" He asked: "And what are the 'arradin?" He said: "Those who love to be praised for what they have not done." He then said: "O son of my brother, if the truth is presented to you, then pursue it, and occupy yourself with something other than it."
His saying, the Exalted: "So do not think them to be in safety from the punishment."
4653 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi reported to us in what he wrote to me, my father reported to us, from my uncle al-Husayn, from Ibn 'Abbas: Allah the Exalted said to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "So do not think them to be in safety from the punishment": for what they have committed, they disbelieved in Allah the Exalted and they disbelieved in Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
4654 - 'Ubayd Allah ibn Isma'il al-Baghdadi reported to us, Khalaf, meaning: Ibn Hisham, reported to us, al-Khaffaf reported to us, from Harun, from Yahya ibn Ya'mur: "So do not think them," meaning: their own selves.

4655 - My father reported to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid al-Himmani reported to us, Ya'qub ibn 'Abd Allah reported to us, from Ja'far, meaning: Ibn Abi al-Mughirah, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: Quraish came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "Call upon your Lord for us that He might make the Safa mountain gold for us." So he called upon his Lord, and this was revealed: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding."

4656 - Abu Zur'ah reported to us, Qabisah reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, from Abu Mas'ud: "Those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides," he said: "This refers only to the prayer: if you are not able to pray standing, then sitting; and if you are not able to pray sitting, then on your side."
