(may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had a jumma (hair that hangs down to the earlobes). He said: Nine of the Prophet’s companions had hair. And he said: Ten had jumam (hair reaching the shoulders). He said in some hadith: The hair of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) reached his earlobes. In some hadith: It reached his shoulders. Al-Bara’ ibn Azib narrated: I have never seen anyone with a limma (hair reaching the shoulders) in a red garment more handsome than the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace); he had hair that struck his shoulders. Agreed upon. Ibn Umar narrated from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that he said: "I saw the son of Maryam, and he has a limma."

-صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم- جُمَّةٌ. (٦٦) وقال: تِسْعَةٌ من أصحابِ النبي -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم- لهم شَعْرٌ. وقال: عَشَرَةٌ لهم جُمَمٌ. وقال في بعضِ الحديثِ: إن شَعْرَ النبيِّ -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم- كان إلى شَحمةِ أُذُنَيْهِ. (٦٧) وفى بعض الحديثِ: إلى مَنْكِبَيْه. ورَوَى البراءُ بن عازِب، قال: ما رأيتُ [مِنْ ذِى] (٦٨) لِمَّة في حُلَّةٍ حَمْراء أحْسَنَ من رسولِ اللَّه -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم-، له شَعْرٌ يَضْرِبُ مَنْكِبَيْه. مُتَّفَقٌ عليه. (٦٩) ورَوَى ابنُ عُمَرَ، عن النبيِّ -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم-، قال: "رأيتُ ابنَ مَرْيَمَ لَهُ لِمَّةٌ" (٧٠).
