"Shave it all or leave it all." (94) In the conditions of Umar regarding the People of the Covenant (Ahl al-Dhimmah), it is stipulated that they shave the front of their heads in order to be distinguished thereby from the Muslims. Therefore, whoever among the Muslims does this is imitating them.

Section: There is no difference of opinion in the narration regarding the dislike of a woman shaving her head without necessity. Abu Musa said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) has disowned the woman who shrieks and the woman who shaves her head. Agreed upon (95). Al-Khallal narrated with his chain of authority from Qatada from Ikrimah, who said: The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade a woman from shaving her head (96). Al-Hasan said: It is a mutilation. Al-Athram said: I heard Abu Abd Allah being asked about a woman who is unable to manage her hair and treat it; should she trim it based on the hadith of Maymuna? He said: "For what reason would she trim it?" It was said to him: "She cannot afford oil and what maintains it, and vermin are getting into it." He said: "If it is out of necessity, I hope there is no harm in it."

Section: Plucking out gray hair is disliked, due to what was narrated by Amr ibn Shu'ayb [, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: ] (97) The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade plucking out gray hair and said: "It is the light of Islam." (98) And from Tariq ibn Habib, that a barber was trimming the mustache of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and he saw a gray hair in his beard, so he reached for it to take it, but the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) caught his hand and said: "Whoever..."
