This collection of books has earned the praise of students, researchers, and beneficiaries. Ibn Rajab recorded the following verses by Shaykh Yahya al-Sarsari in praise of his [Ibn Qudama's] books (6):
He has sufficed the creation with Al-Kafi, and convinced the seeker With Al-Muqni' of jurisprudence, in place of any lengthy book. He has enriched the researcher with Al-Mughni of jurisprudence, And whoever relies upon his 'Umdah shall attain [his goal]. His Rawdah, which possesses the foundations, is like a garden, In which the flowers have diffused the breaths of the north wind.

وهذه المكتبة الحافلة استحقَّت ثناء الدارسين والباحثين والمستفيدين، وقد ساق ابن رجب للشيخ يحيى الصَّرْصَرِيّ هذه الأبيات في مَدْح كُتُبِه (٦):
كفَى الخلقَ بـ "الكافي" وأقْنعَ طالبًا ... بـ "مُقْنع" فقْهٍ عن كتابٍ مُطوَّلِ
وأغْنَى بـ "مُغْنِى" الفقهِ مَن كان باحثًا ... و"عُمْدتُه" مَن يعتمدْها يُحصِّلِ
و"رَوْضتُه" ذاتُ الأصولِ كروضةٍ ... أماستْ بها الأزْهارُ أنْفاسَ شَمْأَلِ
