tenth century approximately. It is completed in a different, modern script. At the end, it states that Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Muzannat [sic] al-Hanbali finished studying it. It bears traces of humidity and consists of 310 folios, with a layout of 19 lines per page.

12 - A copy preserved under No. 365 Usul Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence), on which is written "The Fourth [Part] of al-Kifayah" by Abu Ya'la ibn al-Farra' al-Hanbali, although it is a part of al-Mughni by Ibn Qudama. It begins with the "Section: Lending is a type of advance" from Kitab al-Buyu' (The Book of Sales), and ends at the end of [the Book of] Sharecropping. This part was written by the regular hand of 'Abd Allah ibn 'Ali ibn 'Umar al-Qurashi [or al-Qusi] ibn 'Abd Rabbih, and he finished it on Sunday, the 28th of Jumada al-Akhira, in the year 734 AH. The part consists of 248 folios, with a layout of 25 lines per page.

In the Al-Azhar Library:

A copy preserved under No. [21] 5696, comprising two volumes. The first volume begins—and it is written at its end that it is the second part—with: "Section: If a woman sees blood..." from the sections on menstruation, from Kitab al-Taharah (The Book of Purification), and ends with: "Issue: And whatever is other than this of forgetfulness..." from Kitab al-Salah (The Book of Prayer). The second volume begins shortly before: "Section: And if it were a fish that jumped due to human action," and ends at the conclusion of: "Section: And if he makes a vow to walk to the Sacred House of Allah..." from the chapter on vows. The copy was written by the regular hand of Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Aybak al-Mu'ashsha al-Hanbali in the year 928 AH. On its exterior, it is indicated that it was written for the treasury of the honorable office of al-Sayfi Yalbugha. It consists of 208 and 205 folios, respectively, with a layout between 19 and 25 lines per page.
