[The Book of Jihad]
Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Allah has guaranteed for whoever goes out in His cause, nothing prompting him but Jihad in My cause, faith in Me, and belief in My messengers, that He will admit him into Paradise or return him to his dwelling from which he set out, having attained whatever reward or spoils of war he attained." Agreed upon (1). According to Muslim (2): "The likeness of the Mujahid (warrior) in the cause of Allah is that of the one who fasts and prays at night." And from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "A morning excursion or an evening excursion in the cause of Allah is better than the world and what is in it." Narrated by Al-Bukhari (3).

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
[كتاب الجهاد]
روى أبو هُرَيْرَةَ، رَضِىَ اللهُ عنه، عن النَّبِيِّ -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم- قال: "انْتَدَبَ اللهُ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِه، لا يُخْرِجُه إلَّا جِهَادٌ في سَبِيلِى، وإيمَانٌ بِى، وتَصْدِيقٌ بِرَسُولِى، فَهُوَ عَلَىَّ ضَامِنٌ أنْ أُدْخِلَه الجَنَّةَ، أوْ أُرْجِعَه إلَى مَسْكَنِهِ الَّذِى خَرَجَ مِنْهُ، نَائِلًا مَا نَالَ مِنْ أجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ". مُتَّفَقٌ عليه (١). ولمسلمٍ (٢): "مَثَلُ المُجَاهِدِ في سَبيلِ اللهِ، كَمَثَلِ الصَّائِمِ القَائِمِ". وعن أنسٍ، رَضِىَ اللهُ عنه، قال: قال رسولُ اللَّه -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم-: "لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أوْ رَوْحَةٌ، خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا". روَاه البُخَارِيُّ (٣).
