49 - And Abū al-ʿAbbās narrated to us, Mūsā ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad al-Muḥāribī narrated to us, ʿUqba ibn ʿAmmār narrated to us, from al-Mughīra ibn Ḥadhf, from Ribʿī ibn Ḥirāsh, that ʿUmar said to some elders from Banū ʿAbs: "With what did you face people [in battle]?" They said: "With patience; we never met a people but that we endured against them as long as they endured against us."
