Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān recited to me:

If you are not lenient in affairs, they become complicated ... for you, so be lenient and replace hardship with ease.

For I have seen nothing more faithful in trial than God-fearingness (taqwa), nor have I seen anything more healing for hardship than patience.
