57 - Dāwūd ibn ʿAmr al-Ḍabbī narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Asadī narrated to us, from ʿUbayd ibn al-Ṭufayl, from al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Muzāḥim regarding His statement: {And those who are patient in poverty, hardship, and during battle} [al-Baqara: 177], he said: “As for {poverty} [al-Baqara: 177]: it is destitution; as for {hardship} [al-Aʿrāf: 95]: it is illness; and as for {during battle} [al-Baqara: 177]: it is at the time of fighting.”
