And if You have afflicted me only to reward me, bestow recompense upon me, and make Your affliction a means to Your mercy upon me, then who among Your servants has received a greater favor and grace than that which You have bestowed upon me, since You deemed me worthy of Your trial? So to You belongs all praise in every circumstance, for You are worthy of all good and the Master of every blessing.' He said: So when evening arrived, he died."
