96 - And Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi informed us, saying: Abu Hisham related to us, saying: Ibn Yaman related to us, from Sufyan al-Thawri, who said: A man came to him during the time of Harun (al-Rashid) and said to him: "This man has revolted and manifested the justice you see, so what is your view on revolting with him?" Sufyan said to him: "I have spared you this matter, and I have scrutinized it for you; stay in your house."
٩٦ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ يَمَانٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فِي زَمَنِ هَارُونَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ قَدْ خَرَجَ وَأَظْهَرَ مَا تَرَى مِنَ الْعَدْلِ، فَمَا تَرَى فِي الْخُرُوجِ مَعَهُ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ سُفْيَانُ: «كَفَيْتُكَ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ، وَنَقَّرْتُ لَكَ عَنْهُ، اجْلِسْ فِي بَيْتِكَ»
