105 - Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath Abu Dawud informed us, saying: I heard Abu Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] mention the hadith of Salih ibn Kaysan, from al-Harith ibn Fudayl al-Khatmi, from Ja'far ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Hakam, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Miswar ibn Makhrama, from Abu Rafi', from Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, from the Prophet (peace be upon him): "There will be leaders who say what they do not do; so whoever strives against them with his hand..." Ahmad said: "This Ja'far is Abu Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja'far, and al-Harith ibn Fudayl is not considered praiseworthy in his hadith. This speech does not resemble the speech of Ibn Mas'ud. Ibn Mas'ud says: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: 'Be patient until you meet me.'"
١٠٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ فُضَيْلٍ الْخَطْمِيِّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ: «يَكُونُ أُمَرَاءٌ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ، فَمَنْ جَاهَدَهُمْ بِيَدِهِ» . قَالَ أَحْمَدُ: جَعْفَرٌ هَذَا هُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ لَيْسَ بِمَحْمُودِ الْحَدِيثِ، وَهَذَا الْكَلَامُ لَا يُشْبِهُهُ كَلَامُ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ. ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي»
