118 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Mansur informed me, saying: I heard 'Isa ibn Ja'far say: I bade farewell to Ahmad ibn Hanbal when I intended to go out [to fight] against Babak, so he said: "May Allah not make it the last time we see each other, nor the last time you see us."
١١٨ - أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عِيسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: وَدَّعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ حِينَ أَرَدْتُ الْخُرُوجَ إِلَى بَابَكَ، فَقَالَ: «لَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنَّا وَمِنْكَ»
